What GA4 migration covers

  • Clean property setup: a new GA4 property done the right way
  • Data migration: from Universal Analytics, where the data still matters
  • Event tracking: configured for your real business goals
  • Conversion setup: the actions that matter, tracked properly
  • Filters and retention: so internal traffic does not pollute the numbers
  • Verification: so you know the data is real before you trust it

What I do

Audit what you have

The first step is seeing what is actually in place. A half-finished migration, duplicate tags, missing conversions, or a Universal Analytics account that is still running. The audit finds it all.

Plan the migration

A proper migration maps your old setup to the new one. What did you track in Universal Analytics, what still matters, and how does that translate into GA4 events and conversions.

Build the GA4 property

A clean GA4 property with the right data streams, events and conversions, built for how your business actually works, not a copy of someone else's template.

Set up conversions

The events that matter: form submissions, calls, purchases, sign-ups. Each one configured as a conversion so your reports actually reflect what success looks like.

Add filters and retention

Internal traffic, spam and bot traffic all pollute the numbers. Filters and data retention settings go in so your reports stay clean over time.

Verify the data

Before anyone trusts the numbers, they get checked. Real-time views, debug mode, and a comparison against what you know to be true. If the data does not match reality, we find out why.

Hand it over cleanly

The goal is an analytics setup you can use without me. Training on the reports that matter, checking campaigns in under a minute, and knowing the numbers are real.

Frequently Asked Questions

A clean migration of a typical business site usually takes one to two weeks, depending on how much you tracked before and how messy the current setup is. The data collection starts as soon as the new tag is live, but historical data from Universal Analytics cannot be moved across.
Universal Analytics stopped processing data in July 2023. If you are not on GA4, you have no current data at all. Moving is not optional, but it does not have to be painful. A proper setup takes days, not months.
Usually, yes. A messy GA4 setup can almost always be cleaned up: duplicate events, missing conversions, broken tracking, inflated numbers from internal traffic. The first step is an audit to see exactly what is wrong, then a fix list with priorities.
It is usually a fixed-fee project, priced by the size and complexity of your site and how much you tracked before. It is a one-off cost, separate from any ongoing analytics support you choose afterwards. I will give you an exact quote after a look at your current setup.
