What Google Ads management covers

Google Ads is one of the fastest ways to put your business in front of people who are actively searching for what you sell. It is also one of the easiest places to waste money if the account is set up badly or left to drift.

That is the gap I fill. I manage Google Ads for Australian businesses that want the channel to work properly, without having to become a paid-search expert themselves.

The work covers the whole account, not just one corner of it:

  • Campaign builds from scratch, structured the way Google actually rewards
  • Account restructures when an existing account has been built on guesswork
  • Keyword strategy that separates the terms worth paying for from the ones that burn budget
  • Negative keyword lists that stop your ads showing for searches that will never convert
  • Landing page fixes, because traffic that lands on the wrong page is traffic paid for twice
  • Reporting that shows what happened, what it cost and what changed

You should never have to ask where your money went. The report tells you.

Tracking comes first

Before any campaign work, the tracking has to be right. It is the part most businesses skip, and it is the part that decides whether everything else works.

If conversions are not tracked, you cannot tell which keywords, ads or landing pages produce results. You end up optimising for clicks and impressions, which feel like progress and are not. I set up conversion tracking first: form submissions, calls, purchases, whatever a lead looks like for your business. Then the account gets managed against numbers that mean something.

If an account has been running for months without tracking, the first report after the fix is usually a surprise. Some campaigns that looked great were doing nothing. Some that looked quiet were doing all the work. That is the moment the account starts paying for itself.

Who this is for

I work with business owners who are already spending on Google Ads, or who are about to start, and want someone who treats their budget like it is their own money.

Common situations:

  • You have a Google Ads account that is running but underperforming, and you are not sure why
  • You have tried managing it yourself and the time sink is real
  • You are paying an agency and the reports are full of jargon and no answers
  • You want to start advertising but do not want to learn the platform by trial and error

If you are in one of these, the work is usually the same: find the leaks, fix the structure, then scale what works.

How I work

The process is four steps. No mystery, no black box.

Step 1: Audit

I go through the account properly. Structure, keywords, negatives, tracking, landing pages, what has been spent and what came back. If the tracking is broken, nothing else matters, so that gets checked first.

Step 2: Plan

You get a plain-English plan: what is working, what is leaking, what we change first and why. You decide. Nothing runs until you have agreed to it.

Step 3: Run

I make the changes, launch or restructure the campaigns, and manage them daily. Bid adjustments, keyword pruning, negative keyword updates, ad testing. The stuff that quietly makes the difference.

Step 4: Report

Every month you get a report you can actually read. Spend, clicks, leads or sales, cost per result, and what changed since last month. If a campaign is not working, I say so and we fix or kill it.

What makes this different

There are plenty of people and agencies who will run your Google Ads. The differences that matter to me are simple.

No lock-in contracts

You are not trapped. If the work is not delivering, you can leave at the end of the month. I would rather earn the work every month than hold you with a 12-month contract.

Owner-level attention

When you hire me, you work with me. The person thinking about your account is the same person who runs the business and answers the phone. No handover to a junior you never meet.

Plain reporting

Reports are written for humans. If I cannot explain in a paragraph what happened and why, I have not done my job.

FAQ

How much does Google Ads management cost?

Management is a flat monthly fee, separate from your ad spend. You pay for the work, and Google charges you for the ads. Management fees are custom quotes tailored to your goals and depend on account size and complexity. I will give you an exact figure after the audit.

How long before I see results?

Honest answer: most accounts show measurable movement within six to twelve weeks, and real results within three to six months. The speed depends on your competition, your budget and whether your tracking is set up properly. Anyone who promises overnight results is selling you something.

Do I still need to pay Google?

Yes. My fee covers the management work. The ad spend goes to Google separately, and you always control it. I will never ask you to pay me from your ad budget.

Who owns the account?

You do. The Google Ads account, the data and the access all stay in your name. If we ever stop working together, you keep everything. No hostage situations, no rebuilding from scratch with someone else.

Is there a minimum ad spend?

There is no hard minimum, but very small budgets are hard to read. With less than a few thousand dollars a month, the data moves too slowly to draw conclusions. The right starting point depends on your market and your goals, and I will recommend a figure after the audit.

Can you guarantee results?

No, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. Search results, auction prices and your competition are outside any consultant's control. What I guarantee is the work: the audit, the structure, the daily management and the honest reporting. The results follow from doing that properly.
